Friday Morning Prayer:). February 12, 2015

February 12, 2015 - 9 minutes read

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.

’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Friday Morning Prayer! Yes! Brother and Sister In Christ, You are invited! I pray our gracious God has you stirred and excited about His abundant grace manifest in your life every day, even every moment of every day! Our Friday morning prayer time… Join us … Through the Spirit we cry out… humble hearts asking, seeking, knocking continuously. Indeed!

“I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. My soul will boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.” Psalm 34:1-5

Our faithful Sisters are meeting at First Baptist. 1912 Arnold Way. Alpine. 0900. If you know gals who need to be encouraged or desire to express their gift of encouragement toward others… refer them over to Women’s Prayer. An hour of sweet prayer!

Brothers are meeting at Mt. View Bible. 2710 Alpine Blvd. Alpine. 0730.

May you find yourself victorious over the ever present flesh! How true my tendency get caught up in this life… only sparse prayer, a casual seeking of our Holy God, hardened to the voice of God… NO! The supernatural leading of the Spirit in the daily grind…. Am I listening, hunger thirst?

“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you O God.” Psalm 42:1

Fridays… just a culmination of much much secret prayer throughout the week! Yes! As we gather to overflow on behalf of our churches, pastors, elders, leaders… communities, the lost, etc., I pray it is just a continuation of a life In Christ devoted to unceasing prayer, especially secret prayer that moves the sovereign arm of God! We desire and seek the supernatural presence, leading, fellowship, filling, overflowing, and manifestation of our Holy God! Always!

Update: Behold Christian Ministry: we had our board meeting this past Sunday. It was a fruitful time exploring ministry opportunities for Alpine and the surrounding communities. Brothers and sisters representing various fellowships attended to share ideas, break bread, and pray. We praised our gracious God for Youth Venture/Alpine Youth Center and all that has been accomplished by God’s grace.

We are thankful to our local churches for financial, volunteers, and prayer support, especially as this New Year is underway and ministry is going strong at the Youth Center 6 and even 7 days a week. Moreover, we are very thankful to individuals who contribute faithfully month after month to help us meet operational expenses.

As I hung around Sunday, the kids just kept coming! Please continue to pray daily for all that is going on and more to come in serving others through Youth Venture/Alpine Youth Center. More specifically, we are asking for God to provide many opportunities to reach out to the parents of the many youth. Our strong desire is to get families connected to a local fellowship where they can hear the gospel, experience salvation, grow in grace, worship our God, discipleship, meet together with brothers and sisters in Jesus! I know that idea gets me excited! It excites every transformed Holy Spirit filled believer who can’t help but to overflow the supernatural love of Jesus!

We, as a board, and members from the community discussed the idea of establishing a Resource Center for Alpine and the surrounding communities: a place where ministry would be taking place up to 6-7 days a week to help meet the needs of the Body of Christ: social services, counseling, crisis intervention, etc., Our hope and ongoing prayer would be to network with local churches and offer services from a Christian worldview.

We are asking for prayer unceasing in regard to this endeavor. We have only just presented the idea and praying for God’s timing and provision to make it a reality. Similar to the genesis of the Youth Center, which we prayed much… for at least a year before God orchestrated its actual opening. A Resource Center is huge! At least our ideas are huge in what we hope to accomplish to the Glory of God! Therefore, we need much, much, prayer.

Furthermore, we’d like to continue networking with churches and gifted individuals to minister to the needs in our community. For example, convalescent home outreach, Special Treatment Center, Community clean-ups, etc., Our brother Joseph presented many outreach ideas: allow me to highlight one:

“Prayer Saturation—complex contenders, street soldiers, prayer breaking out in every part of the community… we are prayerfully considering monthly/bimonthly/quarterly? We designate Christians to certain areas to pray together for that specific area. WE would then follow-up by going door to door after weeks of prayer.”

There were many other ministry and outreach items discussed: One more! We want to diligently pray for workers and God to move us quickly/boldly to establishing Christian clubs at Boulder Oaks, Shadow Hills, Heights Charter, Julian Charter.

If YOU are interested in sharing ideas or inquiring about how to network, getting more involved, share with your church, reaching out to the community, etc., We have a standing appointment at Mc Donald’s on Wednesday mornings, here in Alpine at 0730.

As God the Holy Spirit prompts you, give one of us a call, send an email, or come and see us for a cup of coffee on us :). Of course we can meet any other arranged time to love and encourage you!

Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun.

Love Others! MUCH!

Your Brother IN Christ,

Randall:)
