Friday Morning Prayer:). May 21, 2015

May 22, 2015 - 7 minutes read

If I have wounded any soul today,
If I have caused one foot to go astray,
If I have walked in my own willful way,
Dear Lord, forgive!

If I have uttered idle words or vain,
If I have turned aside from want or pain,
Lest I offend some other through the strain,
Dear Lord, forgive!

Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.[1]

My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him…. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.[2]

“Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.”[3]

Faithful In Christ,

In Christ we walk humbly, living out our days, pursuing every circumstance filled with the Spirit. Our ever present goal is to reflect consistency and decisiveness that glorifies our God. We say ‘Amen’ to the gospel proclamation! Together we encourage one another, stir, embrace, support…genuinely love…in word and deed!

Even in our corporate worship offered to God through Christ, we joyfully shout ‘Yes’ or ‘Amen’ of agreement and consecration…to God be the glory!

A supernatural process! Only possible through our position In Christ! Yes! Our gracious God constantly producing stability…my prayer is that YOU are experiencing this intimate and dynamic relationship with Jesus. Our God is not a God distant and removed…NO! Our infinite God knows me personally, my struggles, doubts, fears, insecurities… etc., In Christ, we cry out and God listens to our prayers! He definitely leads us to “the rock that is higher than I.”

Be encouraged! God has anointed you with the Holy Spirit to glorify Him through obedient service. In fact, you and I are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do![4] I want desperately to hear clearly God’s voice, be led by the Spirit, and glorify our God. In Christ, so do YOU! Tell someone! Overflow!

More often than not there are daily challenges, the flesh, pride, bitterness, anger, etc., that serves to grieve the Holy Spirit.[5] Therefore, I continuously pray… “I call as my heart grows faint…” encouraged that I have been supernaturally ‘branded’ as God’s property. Indeed! We join with the psalmist … “Trusting in him at all times…pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

I briefly met with our faithful brother Joseph brother last night… of necessity; we acknowledged our need to cry out to our Lord! One of many times during our week, brothers getting together to encourage, pray, praise… stir, hence stay accountable to behave humbly and love radically! We recognized the spiritual battle enduring. Paul in discussing interpersonal restoration and forgiveness calls us to “…stand the test and be obedient in everything.”[6] Moreover, practice interpersonal forgiveness to ensure that Satan does not outwit us. We are very much aware of his schemes.”[7]

Brother… Sister… “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”[8] God knows our frailty…heck… we are jars of clay relying on God’s power! Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?[9] No! In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Nothing in all creation is able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.[10]

Your unceasing prayers are valued much! The Youth Center: our valued volunteers! The need for wisdom in managing: troubled youth, worldliness, compromise…. Help us through your prayers! Amazing grace will carry us through!

If I have been perverse, or hard, or cold,
If I have longed for shelter in the fold,
When thou hast given me some fort to hold,
Dear Lord, forgive!

Forgive the sins I have confessed to thee;
Forgive the secret sins I do not see;
O guide me, love me, and my keeper be.
Dear Lord, forgive!
Amen.[11]

LoVe Others! MUCH!

Your Brother,
