Jesus loves me! This I know,
For the Bible tells me so;
Little ones to Him belong;
They are weak, but He is strong.[1]

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.[2]

Beloved In Christ,

I pray the joy of the Lord is overflowing through you! Yes! In every context, every circumstance, trial, disappointment, our struggles common to this life…. Our God indwelling is greater!

We endure In Christ knowing that trials of many kinds, the testing of our faith develops perseverance.[3] “Perseverance” has a work to do, and this can be accomplished only by persistence in trials. We pray and depend on our holy God to sustain us… our living faith doesn’t falter or give up! No! We In Christ persevere! The goal for you and me is to grow in grace, progress and develop through our trials… a supernatural empowering that allows us to mature in character and rightly balance all of the graces and strengths needed for the Christian life.

Brothers/Sisters, be encouraged today because of the gospel! Yes! God loves you and me… so demonstrated through the cross. Jesus our Savior, redeemer, was crucified for the sin of mankind. Paul tells us that God sent His own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering.[4] We rejoice in knowing and appropriating gospel truth! As we supernaturally experience, hence apply, integrate: cognitively and emotionally the concept of justification “In Christ,” we then can truly grow in grace and conformity to Christ.

Our God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) carries out His purposes through our lives, especially as we live in obedience and trust our Lord. We are never required or even able to live our Christian life independently. The Scriptures make it clear that as we belong to Christ, He indwells us through the Holy Spirit. Therefore, rejoice! Our God loves us and abides with us!

“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.”[5]

Jesus loves me! This I know,
As He loved so long ago,
Taking children on His knee,
Saying, “Let them come to Me.”

Jesus loves me still today,
Walking with me on my way,
Wanting as a friend to give
Light and love to all who live.

Jesus loves me! He who died
Heaven’s gate to open wide;
He will wash away my sin,
Let His little child come in.

Jesus loves me! He will stay
Close beside me all the way;
Thou hast bled and died for me,
I will henceforth live for Thee.
